In a significant development for Türkiye’s defense industry, five Turkish defense companies have been recognized in the 2026 global Top 100 defense companies ranking. This achievement underscores the nation’s expanding capabilities in defense manufacturing and exports. Among these companies, ASELSAN emerged as the highest-ranking Turkish firm, advancing to 40th place from 43rd the previous year. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) followed closely, securing the 48th position, while ARCA Defense made its first appearance on the list at 53rd.
Roketsan also demonstrated progress by ascending to 64th place from 71st, and MKE was ranked 81st. Collectively, these five companies amassed an impressive $14.9 billion in defense revenue for the year 2025. ASELSAN led the way with $4.46 billion in defense earnings, trailed by TAI’s $3.65 billion. Newcomer ARCA Defense reported $3 billion in revenue, Roketsan $2.37 billion, and MKE $1.42 billion.
These advancements highlight the growing international demand for Turkish defense products, which has been a driving force behind the industry’s expansion. Türkiye’s defense sector has successfully diversified and now spans various domains, including military electronics, aerospace, missile systems, ammunition, and other advanced technologies.
The latest rankings are a testament to Türkiye’s increasing influence in the global defense market and its burgeoning capability to develop and export a diverse array of defense systems. As the industry continues to grow, these companies are positioning themselves as key players on the international stage, reflecting the country’s strategic investments and advancements in defense technology.
